This is the first stage of the rebuilding process after initial strip down and cleaning.
A defectometer is used to check for cracks after a close visual inspection.
All re-used parts are cleaned thoroughly before inspection using a 4 stage process; high-pressure rinse, chemical cleaning, brush or blasting with apricot shell / glass mixture, and a high-pressure rinse. All Oil gallery plugs are removed and all galleries are cleaned.
